So... I always thought Wendy & Lisa, of Prince & the Revolution fame but now with their own fame circa TV shows like Heroes, just played lesbians for the "ooooh"-marketing of the 80s. Prince had Lisa and Jill Jones practically grind each other on the keyboards during the 1999-days. So I just assumed the Wendy/Lisa thing was an extension of that: Prince is turned on by two women in love and wants us to be turned on by it, too.
Apparently, straight from the horse's mouth [per se], the Wendy/Lisa thang was for real. 20 years of real! And while they aren't together-together now [despite still working together and living together], I still find it amazing, as 'devoted' a Prince fan as I was, that I never knew that...
I thought it all an act.
